Several Scheme implementations have included editors. The one I'm most familiar
with is Rice's "MrEd" <URL:http://www.cs.rice.edu/CS/PLT/packages/mred/>,
which is really a class-based GUI builder but which contains a multimedia
editor class so that when you run "mred" by default you get an editor
(my editor-of-choice when using Windows95).

MrEd's default top-level interaction window also comes with a simple Web
browser (File menu -> OpenURL item), so I'd assume with not *too* much
"cut&paste" work on the source one could add an NTTP-based newsreader
class... (But I really haven't looked that far under the covers yet.)
