Allegro CL basically assumes Emacs for the development environment, which I prefer over "decidated" editors. only under Windows does Allegro CL come with its own IDE. lots of stuff in the Emacs/Lisp interface is very hard to obtain from ILISP, however, and I use a slightly hacked version of the ELI package. #:Erik -- if people came with documentation, could men get the womanual?
