Regarding a previous post concerning CLOS, packages, and a generic
dispatch problem; I've discovered an answer to my own question.
It appears that generic functions, declared within a package and
intended for client specialization, must be exported. Although I found
nothing definitive to this effect in "CLtL2", it nevertheless seems to
work. Perhaps it should have been obvious to me...
