I am whole heartedly in support of this effort.  TelePresence Inc. a
software development company has three large scale military and
government applications written in Common Lisp on the Windows and
Macintosh platforms.  These applications support operations and
management level decisions in the satellite logistics and launch system
support areas.  We have won several million dollars of work with this
technology in the past three years and are expanding our business into
commercial applications.  Lisp is our software of choice for the rapid
application development methodology of our customers.  Common Lisp also
provides us about a 4 fold decrease in development time over C
development, which we abandoned 5 years ago.
