I'm glad Franz is proceeding with both the Windows-like interface and the
Unix-Emacs style, because while I'm sure there are *many* people who are more
productive using ACLPC, there are still some of us stick-in-the-muds around
who find the Emacs interface the most productive for us. I find the
functionality of ACL 4.3 on Unix about equivalent to what I remember on the
Symbolics, which I think is pretty high praise. (In some ways, it's better,
since Emacs is better these days than Zmacs was, the integration with Unix is
much appreciated, my Sun gives better performance than the Symbolics I had,
etc.)
