It works fine.  I use it with Oracle 7.  I had stuff in aodbc-v1 (acl
5.0) that I had to port because of the disappearance of the
"mid-level" access, i.e., all selects are now just SQL strings.

The major problem is the ODBC drivers.
I got mine from OpenLink (www.openlinksw.com).
I can't imagine a more user-unfriendly setup - there are many
pieces you have to get, they do not use terminology consistently,
software does not install cleanly - I could go on and on.
However once it's installed and setup, it seems to run well.
(modulo a few minor problems I'm still working out).

As for AODBC itself, though, no big problems.
