Hi!

What would you recommend for an application that has to 
spawn numerous subprocesses (hundreds at a time)?  
excl:run-shell-command uses execvp to spawn subprocesses 
but it seems that I easily run out of swap space. 

Pcreatel was recommended for this kind of application and I was
thinking of writing something that uses it instead of 
counting on run-shell-command.  Has anybody done that? 
I was also wondering why that doesn't already exist in Allegro since
it's more efficient than execvp.
