Another simple thing you can do is to call xlispstat (an interpreter)
from within ACL, it has a very powerful and indeed simple LINKED plot
system.
xlispstat is part of linux or you can download it from:
http://ftp.stat.umn.edu/pub/xlispstat/
I highly recommend it!
