I've got a question. in ACL 4.2, I could access GC hooks from C by
using gc-before and gc-after. In the ACL 4.2 FAQ it said that these
would go away in 4.3 and get replaced by lisp functions to register gc
hooks written in C. Did these functions ever get written? There's no
documentation for them in the ACL 4.3 manual.
